About Eastway Gardens
Eastway Gardens is a tiny neighbourhood with a big claim to fame. Not only are we a high quality transit hub with walkable access to transportation, shopping, and bike paths, but we are bracing for an extraordinary amount of residential development in the next few years. Renters and homebuyers who want easy acccess to public transportion, and who wish to be close to downtown, will find the area attractive.
Eastway Gardens consists of a mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and office space. Zoned as a TOD community, Eastway Gardens is a connected community boasting two O-Train (Light Rail Transit) stations and bus routes, as well as the city’s main Via Rail terminal—all within walking distance of residential streets. Nearby ramps connect to the east and west Queensway (Hwy 417). Eastway Gardens also links to a paved multi-use pathway, making it ideal for cyclists and walkers alike.
The St. Laurent Shopping Mall and the 110-acre open-air Ottawa Train Yards shopping complex—which includes grocery stores, a pharmacy, an LCBO, restaurants, coffee shops, and a variety of other shops—make the neighbourhood a preferred destination for shopping and entertainment. The neighbourhood is also home to the Ottawa Titans baseball stadium.
